Black Veil Brides were originally going to play a special Halloween show tonight for people who won tickets. That is not going on anymore because of Andy's injury, however the rest of the band will be hosting a party tonight at HW Borderline at 7:30 PM! If you won tickets to the Halloween show, you are on the guest list.
Ashley Purdy joined Yashin on stage for a bit to perform with them, you can see him in this video around 2:30 Black Veil Brides performing Perfect Weapon, Andy sounds very good considering he just broke his nose a few days ago! Officialbvb.com posted the following message from Andy's dad:
“Hi, Nataly. I thought you might like an update on Andy. As you may know, despite breaking his nose only 3 nights before, Andy and BVB played the show in London last night. He called us afterwards and said it was one of the most painful things he’s ever done. Could barely breathe and any movement caused the nose to throb w/ pain. I’m told the show was great, but, a medic was on hand to examine him afterwards and the medic told him no more shows until he gives it the proper time to rest and heal. Last night Andy was risking permanent damage to his nose/sinus cavities and he was very close to hemorrhaging. In other words, a huge gush of blood could have come running out of his nose on stage during BVB’s set. As a result, the band have postponed their remaining UK shows (tonight and Tuesday). Andy is flying back to L.A., by himself, while the rest of the band will remain in the UK to fulfill their non performance related commitments. Hope you are doing well. Thanks for your concern for Andy and, as always, for your incredible support for BVB.” Andy did an interview with Revolver and tells about the nose accident:
“I was onstage doing my typical routine to entertain the crowd. I was rolling around and being crazy. Normally, before ‘Legacy’ goes into a breakdown-y guitar solo-y kind of part, I get down on my knees and do a mock prayer. I did that and then rolled backwards and stood up and I didn’t realize I was directly under the four-foot drum riser. I smashed the bone dead center on my skull. From above my eyebrows, right down the bridge of my nose, that’s where I cracked. I was unconscious for a second." Read the full thing HERE. Revolver has posted the outtakes from their Black Veil Brides photoshoot that was featured in their July/August issue! Check them out HERE!
BVB are up against Falling in Reverse in "The Cockfight" over at Banana 101.5, so go vote for them HERE!
Andy broke his nose last night at the show in Luxembourg. He had been lying on the stage then got up and smashed his nose into CC's drum riser (the little platform that the drums sit on). The injury will take a while to heal, and because of that BVB has had to put they're current European tour on hold. The shows for tonight (Cologne) and tomorrow (Amsterdam) have been cancelled and the rest are a wait-and-see. Andy's health is the priority and the other shows may still go on if he is up for it. Stay tuned, and send some get well wishes to Andy on twitter @AndyBVB . Tweeted by Andy, "Excruciating pain and its my own damn stage antics fault. I promise to try my best to heal quickly BVB Army<3"
