There's a great review of the show on January 26th at the Palladium in Massachusetts on Revolver! The Black Veil Brides are a young band building on something big. With a vision for their music that includes not just the audible but the visual and visceral, the Black Veil Brides provide more than just a concert, it’s an overall rock experience. In addition, they seem to understand the importance of the intangible things in the music world like the relationship they’ve cultivated with their fans throughout the years. Another review of the show in New York City has been posted on Guitar International. Highlights of the show were the stellar performance put on by the guitar team of Jinxx and Jake. Their onstage chemistry and guitar playing would rival the greats of Adrian Smith/Dave Murray and KK Downing/Glenn Tipton. Jake’s the shedder and Jinxx the musical virtuoso. Both guitarists were able to showcase their talents during the leads, but Jinxx took it one step further and used a violin during the lead for “Shadows Die”. Check out the rest of the review HERE.
Local Bozo has posted a great review of the Black Veil Brides show at the Best Buy Theater on January 25th. The new tracks were on full display in front of the passionate sold out New York City crowd on this night. Songs like “I Am Bulletproof,” “Wretched and Divine,” “Shadows Die,” and a captivating version of “Nobody’s Hero” blended in well among some of their more familiar hits from previous albums. Biersack, ever the enigmatic frontman, paraded to and fro across the stage in torn clothing, his long hair bouncing all around his exposed tattoos. Time and again as the spotlight shone upon his face, he took a brief pause to flash a smile toward his army of young fans- many of whom, overwhelmed by the emotion of the moment, openly wept as they watched their favorite band rip it up on stage. Artist Direct has posted a review of Wretched And Divine: Sticking with all nineteen tracks makes for an unforgettable roller coaster but, at the same time, the record boasts some of the group's most massive anthems yet. Born from lulling piano, "I Am Bulletproof" snaps into a thrash riff and searing lead emblematic of how powerful guitar duo Jinxx and Jake Pitts truly are. Drummer Christian Coma and bassist Ashley Purdy lay down an impenetrable groove on "New Year's Day" that quickly explodes into a sweeping chorus. Read the full review HERE.
Under The Gun Review has posted a review of Legion Of The Black: Unlike similar features, which use the themes of the album to create an original story, Legion chooses to let the music and interludes of the album guide what you see in the story. For the viewer, this mean getting two stories for the price of one. The first is that of a high school aged girl who personifies the stereotypical Black Veil Brides family and her struggle in a world where everyone sees what makes her different as something that makes her broken, while the other serves as a quasi-performance piece coupled with metaphorical retelling of the same story complete with super powers, masked villains, and mini music videos for almost every song of the album. For a diehard fan, there really is nothing more you could ask for from such a release. Read the full review HERE.
"Los Angeles quintet, Black Veil Brides are always on the go and are always coming up with something new to keep their “army” on their toes. Since their first album release, We Stitch These Wounds back in 2010; Black Veil Brides has taken the world by storm and has caught the attention of many whom either were unaware of their existence or unwilling to give them a chance. Black Veil Brides released Set the World on Fire this past summer (2011) and have toured nonstop throughout the United States and just about every other existing country, including playing a number of different festivals as well."

The BVB Army — as their fans are called — had already bestowed best guitarist honors on Jinxx and Jake Pitts when they took the stage to rock their song ‘The Legacy.’ That song’s furious drum assault served as the precursor to the performance that would bridge the generational gap at the awards show. "

The passionate “Love Isn’t Always Fair” and the emotionally wrought “God Bless You” were sung at full pelt. Andy held out his mike stand during both number’s hugely catchy choruses, taking in the crowds overwhelming response."

"While running riot on stage, Andy turned to the crowd and beamed, “Tonight is a gathering for all the freaks and fucking weirdos. Welcome home.” And to most of the fans, they probably did feel like they were at home. BVB are the new epitome of this musical phenomena, and they put on a hell of a performance to back it up.
