NY Metal Music Examiner's Best of 2011 named Black Veil Brides as 'Best New Band!' Here's what they had to say about BVB:
"Don’t let their look (a cross between the Crow and early Motley Crue) fool you, these guys rock hard and play for keeps. So much so they've caught the attention of Zakk Wylde, Sebastian Bach, and Nikki Sixx. Black Veil Brides shattered the glass ceiling this year with the album, Set the World on Fire and the single,Fallen Angels. With a unique look, fast tight playing, and sense of showmanship, I expect big things out of these guys in 2012. " Both NME and Alt Sounds have posted articles about BVB's upcoming EP 'Rebels' and their upcoming UK tour in March. Remember 'Rebels' comes out December 13 exclusively on iTunes!
There's a nice article up on Stereoboard about the "Halloween Heroes" of music, focusing on Alice Cooper and Rob Zombie but also including the Murderdolls and Black Veil Brides! It's a fascinating read and they've got nothing but good things to say about BVB so go check it out HERE! I love the line, "Agree or disagree, they will continue to take over the world one sell-out show at a time."
Check out a great fan review from the BVB show in Glasgow right HERE! The show sounds like it was really exciting! Makes me a bit jealous! Harry Paterson, a music journalist, wrote about Black Veil Brides on his site:
"On course for being one of the biggest bands on the planet, the phenomenon that is Black Veil Brides continues to inspire Beatle mania-levels of adoration and loyalty among teenagers worldwide. Covering their recent set at Rock City, for Midlands Rocks, and interviewing both drummer, CC, and guitarist, Jake, afforded me the opportunity of seeing firsthand what can only be described as the mass hysteria this band induces. Their pre-gig signing session threatened to bring the city to a halt and by ten in the morning there were already hundreds queuing outside the venue." Read the full thing HERE. Black Veil Brides was mentioned in this article on the Huffington Post:
"The Black Veil Brides, who have a sold out tour across the UK this month, combine ball-breaking rock with camel-toe spandex, black warpaint and the kind of hair that's styled by sticking a finger into a electric socket." ddrum has an post about Black Veil Brides' tour with Avenged Sevenfold and they talk about BVB's history and their rise to the top! Check it out HERE. Travis Magazine also posted about Black Veil Brides, no new information but they had nice things to say about the music. Read it HERE. There's also an interview with BVB on sixtynine.se which is all in Swedish! So if you can't read Swedish, you can at least look at the nice pictures ;) Check it out HERE or click "Read More" to see a rough translation to English.
There's a review of BVB's song "Rebel Love Song" up on Alt Sounds. Here's a snippet:
Now, however, the band we all love to hate is Black Veil Brides, who burst onto the scene from absolutely nowhere. Well, actually, they burst onto the scene from Hollywood, California, but you get what I mean. Two years, they were virtually unknown in the music world. But all of a sudden, a massive hype has being built up around the interesting-looking metal five-piece. Their latest album, Set The World On Fire, has performed exceedingly well in the charts and produced three singles, including this latest one, 'Rebel Love Song'. They have taken their influence-clad brand of Hollywood metal to the masses, at long last. Black Veil Brides are only on the up. Read the whole thing HERE. That's right, MTV posted about our boys. Although there's a few incorrect facts in their short article (like saying most of the members are from Ohio, when really only Andy is) it's exciting to see that they are acknowledging them! Good thing BVB decided to crash the VMA's and I'm sure it helped that the Army tweeted MTV in full force! I think they're finally realizing that this is the band they need to pay attention to!
