Andy spoke with City Beat about growing up in Cincinnati and Black Veil Brides' history:
“I was the furthest thing from accepted in society, and it spurred me to create the band,” Biersack says. “We sing about life experiences; I learned internal strength growing up (in Cincinnati). Instead of bowing down to detractors who told me I couldn’t be what I wanted to be or called me ‘fag’ for how I dressed, it made me tougher.” Read more here. Here are some pretty awesome videos from last nights show at the Gramercy Theatre. It's amazing to hear the BVB Army singing along to all these songs! See more after the "Read More" break!
If you haven't heard, BVB's merch tent for Warped Tour was destroyed in a storm! They were selling their stuff from the Asking Alexandria tent, but now they have a temporary BLUE tent, so if you're going to Warped look for that :) Update: Just found out from Brock's twitter (Andy's dad) that they did receive their new merch tent and will go back to using that tomorrow and signings will continue.
Since I just started this site a few days ago, I decided I could do a little bit of catching up by posting some of BVB's more recent interviews, mostly from Warped Tour. Hope you enjoy! See more interviews after the "Read More" break!
Freegotham.com has put up a review of the show last night at the Gramercy Theatre. It's a pretty good read, so I suggest you go check it out! "The Black Veil Brides. If you haven’t heard this name, you’re probably not as cool as you think you are. These guys have been on the cover of several magazines, most recently Guitar World (where they are featured as the “future of metal”). Their latest album, Set The World On Fire, has stormed the Billboard charts. Their first music video has over 26 million views on YouTube. They have over 1 million fans on Facebook and nearly 100,000 followers on Twitter.
Ahhh, now you’ve heard of them, huh?!" Read more here. Photo by Rob Cavuoto Rob Cavuoto on Guitar International wrote a review of the Black Veil Brides show in Oceanport, New Jersey on July 24.
"“We are Black Veil Brides and we’ve come to kick your asses” shouted Andy Biersack from the stage at the Vans Warp Tour when the traveling carnival came to Oceanport NJ. Picture one of the hottest summer days in NJ, sweltering heat, sun beating down and sweaty teenage girls jammed in front of a stage like an alter awaiting the next generation of glam metal gods. Move over Motley Crue and Poison, the new breed of rock stars have arrived and they are going to kick your asses too!" Read more and see more photos here. Black Veil Brides guitarist, Jake Pitts, is on the cover of the current issue of Guitar World with Asking Alexandria's guitarist Ben Bruce. There's more BVB inside, so pick up your copy today!
Today BVB has a day off of Warped Tour, and they are using this day to play a show in New York City at The Gramercy Theatre. The tickets sold for only $5 and the show is now sold out.
